My practice is rooted in the exploration of human experience shaped by our memories. I evoke a sense of nostalgia and reflection, inviting viewers to connect with their own personal narratives. As a kid, I didn't learn to read or write until 7th grade, which impacted how I perceived myself. It's essential for us to share our experiences to break barriers that otherwise separate us. I use abstract figurative work to share my story about identity and my relationship with the written language. My work nurtures empathy rooted in our past.
